Regional differences and spatial convergence of medical and health service efficiency in eight comprehensive economic zones of China
Based on the Super-Efficiency SBM,this study measures regional differences and spatial correlation characteristics of medical and health service efficiency in China's eight comprehensive economic zones from 2010 to 2019,and investigates its spatial convergence trend.The findings are as follows:First,the medical and health service efficiency in China's eight comprehensive economic zones showed a spatial pattern of being higher in the south and lower in the north,and the seven comprehensive economic zones except the southern coastal areas showed a steady improvement trend,and the overall regional gap gradually decreased;Second,the medical and health service efficiency in China's eight comprehensive economic zones has obvious spatial agglomeration characteristics,with high-high agglomeration in eastern coastal,southern coastal and southeast regions,and low-low agglomeration in northeast,middle Yellow River and northwest regions.With the passing of time,the high-high agglomeration characteristics are strengthened,and the low-low agglomeration characteristics are reduced,and the overall development pattern with high leading low is gradually formed;Third,the efficiency of medical and health services in the six comprehensive economic zones,namely,the northern coastal coast,the eastern coastal area,the southern coastal area,the middle Yellow River,the middle Yangtze River and the Southwest area,showed significant spatial convergence.Economic level,financial system,population structure and medical structure are the main factors affecting the efficiency of medical and health services in China's eight comprehensive economic zones,but the impact of different factors on each zones,but the impact of different factors on each comprehensive economic zone is different.Therefore,we should formulate medical reform plans according to local conditions,strength the reasonable allocation of reasonable allocation of medical and health resources,and promote the coordinated development of regional medical undertakings through exchange and cooperation.
