Overseas education and the emergence of modern aesthetics in China
Since modern times,with the development of overseas education and the establishment of new academic disciplines,traditional Chinese learning has faced the challenge of being impacted and reorganized by new paradigms.This has marked the beginning of a systematic development of traditional Chinese aesthetics into a modern discipline.Through the translation and introduction of Western works by new intellectuals,particularly those among overseas students,the term"aesthetics"began to emerge,and a new disciplinary framework for aesthetics was gradually established.The ideas and theories of Western modern aesthetics spread widely within the new academic community,leading to the gradual formation of diverse forms of Chinese aesthetics.Exploring the emergence and development of modern Chinese aesthetics from the perspective of overseas students group,against the backdrop of overseas education,highlights the openness,uniqueness,and diversity involved in the establishment of China's modern academic system and the dissemination of local aesthetic ideas.
