Optimization of New Process and Product Analysis of Saccharin Production by Response Surface Methodology
The study was based on the traditional process of producing saccharin by the phthalic anhydride method, and the ammonification reaction in the saccharin production process was carried out by using the process conditions of de-toluenization and replacing or-ganic solvents with environmentally friendly solvent water.Based on the single-factor opti-mization,a relevant experimental model was established by response surface optimization method to analyze the degree of influence of the interaction between parameters such as tem-perature,proportioning and reaction time, which have a large influence on the reaction, and the effect on the product yield. The optimized process conditions were n(ammonia)∶n(2-methoxycarbonylbenzenesulfonyl chloride)=4∶1,the reaction temperature was 73.94℃,the reaction time was 31.80 min,and the yield of saccharin was 88.85%under this condi-tion.The optimized process conditions not only reduced the risk of organic solvents such as toluene in the production process, but also improved the yield under mild reaction conditions compared with the production conditions under toluene solvent.
