Ru-supported Porous TiO2 Film on Nickel Foam for Photo-assisted Electrocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution
Traditional commercial electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution catalysts have disadvan-tages such as high cost and low reserves. Therefore,it is still necessary to develop an eco-nomical,efficient and stable new electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution catalyst.Herein, the paper developed a photo-assisted electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution based on Ru-doped por-ous TiO2film catalyst grown on nickel foam prepared through evaporation-induced self-as-sembly and impregnation strategy.Ru and mesopores TiO2 structure could efficiently im-prove the performance of electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).Under the as-sistance of light, the electrocatalyst of Ru-supported porous TiO2 on NF exhibits good elec-trocatalytic activities in basic condition with a high current density of 12.4 mA·cm-2at an overpotential of 100 mV、which show 21.5%improvement over that under dark environment(10.2 mA·cm-2 at an overpotential of 100 mV).
