Study of human thermal comfort in summer temperature drift environment
Long-term exposure to a steady-state thermal environment can weaken humans'thermal adaptation capacity and affect human's thermal comfort. In addition, prolonged op-eration of air conditioning systems can also result in excessive energy consumption.Studies have shown that allowing appropriate variations in indoor ambient temperature can solve the above problems.Combining the changes of subjective thermal evaluation, forehead tempera-ture,ear temperature and mean skin temperature, this study explored the human thermal response under transient temperature drift by controlling the intermittent start-stop of the air conditioner. And the correlation between forehead temperature and thermal comfort vot-ing was analyzed. The results showed that a summer air-conditioned environment with tem-perature drift can improve humans'acceptance of a partially hot environment.Temperature drift in the appropriate range can improve humans'thermal comfort, which provides a new idea for the dynamic regulation of indoor air-conditioning systems. In temperature drift ther-mal environments, humans'forehead temperature is significantly correlated with thermal comfort. The forehead temperature can be used as one of the important indicators to charac-terize the dynamic environmental thermal comfort.
