Preparation of magnetic biogenic Mn oxide and its adsorption on As(Ⅲ)
Magnetic biogenic Mn oxide(MBMO)was prepared by Schiff base reaction, and the physicochemical characteristics of the magnetic material were analyzed. The effects of pH,As(Ⅲ)concentration, coexisting anions, salinity, regeneration conditions and other factors on the adsorption and immobilization effect of arsenic(As(Ⅲ))in wastewater were investigated. The results showed that the prepared MBMO has good magnetic response per-formance,which can realize the rapid separation and recovery of MBMO;MBMO has good adsorption performance for As(Ⅲ)in wastewater, and the removal rate of As(Ⅲ)by MB-MO was 95.86%when the initial concentration of As(Ⅲ)was 0.2 mg/L;with the increase of the initial pH of the solution, the As(Ⅲ)removal efficiency increased;when the chloride ion concentration was 0.1-10 mmol/L and the salinity was 0.2%-5%,there was no signifi-cant effect on the removal rate of As(Ⅲ)by MBMO;the co-existing PO43-and SiO32-ions sig-nificantly affected the adsorption efficiency of As and the removal rate decreased with the increase of the concentration;the regeneration of MBMO could be realized by the 0.1 mol/L NaOH solution, and the removal rate of As(Ⅲ)was still above 80%after 3 times of the cycle.Overall,MBMO is an efficient biomaterial for the remediation of As contaminated environment.
