A Study of the New Model for Academic English Reading from Perspective of the Guidelines on College English Teaching
The published Guidelines on College English Teaching(2020)stipulates that English for academic purposes(EAP)is an important part of college English curriculum system.In view of this,the paper proposes such a new approach and model as"English for general purpose+English for academic purpose",and takes academic reading as the starting point.It first explores the problem of transition from general reading to academic reading,and then analyzes the characteristics of reading discourses in EAP based on the genre theory.On this basis,flipping classroom's blended-learning is proposed to guide the college English academic reading teaching model,so as to provide feasible reference for implementing the current teaching effectively.
