Comparative Analysis of Serum Metabolomics between Congjiang Xiang and Landrace Pigs
The study used untargeted metabolomics technology to compare the serum metabolomics differences between Congjiang Xiang(CX)and Landrace(LAN)pigs, aiming to explore the impact of metabolic differences onmeat quality and physiological functions.Principal Component Analysis and Orthogonal Partial Least Squares-Discriminant Analysis revealed significant differences in metabolite composition, indicating a notable influence of genetic background and feeding conditions on metabolic activity.Enrichment analysis of 163 significantly different metabolites showed that compared to LAN,CX exhibited upregulation in key pathways such as lipid metabolism(linoleic acid metabolism and pri-mary bile acid biosynthesis),including linoleic acid and 13-L-hydroperoxy linoleic acid, with down-regulation of 3α,7α-dihydroxypropanoic acid and coprostanic acid. These findings provide a metabolic basis for understanding differences in pork quality and offer scientific evidence for improving pork qual-ity and developing precise feeding strategies.
