A Study on Cultural Consumption Pilot Policies to Promote Urban Green and High-quality Development
Based on the data related to the cultural consumption pilot policy, the impact and transmis-sion mechanism of the cultural consumption pilot policy on the green and high-quality development of cities is analyzed by constructing a double-difference model and collecting the panel data of 272 pre-fecture-level cities in China from 2008 to 2019.The empirical evidence finds that the establishment of cultural consumption pilot cities has a significant promotion effect on urban green total factor productiv-ity(GTFP).Mechanism analysis shows that the implementation of the cultural consumption pilot policy can promote the growth of urban GTFP by enhancing the advanced level of industry.Heterogeneity a-nalysis found that the positive effect of the cultural consumption pilot policy is more significant in the eastern region. The findings of the study are useful for further improving and promoting the construction of pilot cities for cultural consumption and promoting green and high-quality urban development.
