Objective To analyze recurrence data from 912 breast cancer patients at our center and identify Influencing factors affecting disease-free survival in breast cancer. Methods The study included 912 breast cancer patients treated at the First Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical Uni-versity from January 2010 to December 2016.Patients'ages ranged from 24 to 87 years, with an average age of 54.81±11.63 years. There were 202 patients with T2DM and 710 without T2DM.By the end of follow-up,88 patients had experienced recurrence, while 824 had not.Uni-variate and multivariate Cox regression analyses were used to identify risk factors affecting disease-free survival in breast cancer.Kaplan-Meier survival curves were plotted, and Wilcoxon and Logrank tests were used to evaluate differences between survival curves. Results Uni-variate Cox regres-sion analysis indicated that age,T2DM,breast treatment, armpit treatment,T stage,N stage, molecular type,ER1,ER2,and PR were risk factors for breast cancer recurrence survival time(p<0.05).Higher age,T2DM,tumor size ≥ 2 cm,axillary lymph node metastasis ≥4 nodes, and ER>10%were independent risk factors affecting post-operative recurrence time in breast cancer(p<0.05).Survival curves plotted for factors such as T2DM showed significant differ-ences between groups(p<0.05).Conclusion T2DM is an important factor affecting disease-free survival in breast cancer.Early detection and treatment are crucial for improving prognosis.
