Objective To investigate the effect of dynamic blood glucose monitoring combined with insulin pump on the postoperative outcome of patients with type 2 diabetes and hand injury. Methods A total of 80 patients with type 2 diabetes and hand injury who underwent surgical treatment in our hospital from February 2022 to May 2023 were enrolled and randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 40 patients in each group. The patients in the observation group were given the blood glucose monitoring regimen of dynamic blood glucose monitoring combined with insulin pump, and those in the control group were given the traditional blood glucose monitoring regimen of bedside monitoring combined with subcutaneous multi-point insulin injection. The two groups were compared in terms of blood glucose level, insulin injection volume, the increase in 2-hour postpran-dial blood glucose(△2hPG),the incidence rate of postoperative complications, and the degree of satisfaction with treatment regi-men and outcome. Results Both the observation group and the control group had a significant reduction in mean fasting blood glucose on day 3 after surgery(t=25.29,17.96,P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the observation group had signifi-cantly lower daily meaninsulin injectionvolume,2hPG,△2hPG,and incidence rates of hypoglycemia and wound infection(t=2.184-2.641,x2=3.953,3.681,P<0.05),as well as a significantly higher degree of satisfaction(Z=2.699,P<0.05).Conclu-sion For patients with type 2 diabetes and hand injuries, the combination of dynamic blood glucose monitoring and insulin pump can effectively monitor perioperative blood glucose levels, reduce the amount of insulin used, alleviate the risk of poor prognosis, and improve quality of life.
