Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of Suhuang Zhike capsules combined with cetirizine hydrochloride tablets in patients with post-cold cough and its effect on immunological balance.Methods A total of 52 patients with post-cold cough who visited our hospital from March 2019 to March 2021 were selected and divided into control group(treated with Suhuang Zhike capsules)and observation group(treated with Suhuang Zhike capsules combined with cetirizine hydrochloride tablets)based on their medications,with 26 patients in each group.The cough symptom score,visual analogue scale(VAS)score,fractional ex-haled nitric oxide(FeNO),CD4/CD8 ratio,and total lymphocyte count were compared between the two groups.Results After treatment,compared with the control group,the observation group had significantly better cough score and its improvement value(t=9.155-14.384,P＜0.05),VAS score and its improvement value(t=13.145,10.690,P＜0.05),FeNO and its improvement value(t=24.386,8.125,P＜0.05),and CD4/CD8 ratio and total lymphocyte count as well as their improvement values(t=13.265-24.419,P＜0.05).The cure rate and overall response rate of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group(X2=16.391,201.124,P＜0.05).Conclusion Suhuang Zhike capsules combined with cetirizine hydrochloride tablets have a significant therapeutic effect in patients with post-cold cough and effectively improve immunological balance.
