Gao Chu,a poet from Laiyang,Shandong, spent his entire life traveling from north to south and served as a military governor during the Liaoyang Campaign. The Jingshanan Collection includes 27 poems written by him during his visit to Laoshan.Another travelogue,"The Record of Laoshan,"was first included in Huang Zongchang's"Laoshan Chronicles"at the end of the Ming Dynasty. These works mainly depict the natural scenery, cultural landscape, and fisherman's life of Laoshan, revealing Gao Chu's immortal thoughts and reclusive sentiments. After the mid Ming Dynasty, the idea of wandering immortals prevailed, and the poetry of wandering immortals re-entered the poetry world.Gao Chu's Laoshan poetry can be seen as a major representation of this literary trend.
