The Impact and Risk of ChatGPT/GAI on Public English Teaching in Higher Vocational Colleges—A Discussion on the Future Trend of the System Change of Teaching Diagnosis and Reform
Technology in education usually presents both opportunities and challenges,and the emergence of generative artificial intelligence technology represented by ChatGPT and its application in higher vocational education have a particularly profound impact on public English teaching activities in higher vocational schools.On the one hand,the application of new technology brings more possibilities for the innovation of teachers'teaching methods and the enrichment of students'learning methods.On the other hand,the limitations of the new technology itself have to consider its potential negative effects,such as concerns about privacy protection,academic integrity and potential bias.For this reason,in order to further ensure the quality of public English teaching supported by new technology,it is necessary to adjust the existing teaching diagnosis and reform system in vocational colleges from three aspects:diagnosis means,diagnosis and reform methods and system construction.
