Evolution of University Governance Models and Global Development Trends
This study first constructs a multidimensional framework for university governance,con-sidering society, government, and the market as primary external factors, while simultaneously exami-ning academic and administrative systems at the university and department levels.Subsequently,it summarizes five university governance models(A to E)through relevant case studies, providing in-depth descriptions of each model's fundamental characteristics and the background of their emergence and changes.Thirdly, through international comparisons,it reveals the converging features of global university governance, highlighting increased government intervention, enhanced institutional autono-my,and significant changes in university leadership roles and governance structures. Finally, the study offers various insights for future academic research, policy formulation, and institutional practices.
