Research on the Measurement of High-quality Development and Regional Disparities in Ethnic Areas under the New Development Concept
The new development concept, which draws upon five dimensions of innovative development, coordinated development, green development, open development and shared development, has been combined with the global entropy method to construct an index for the assessment of economic development in ethnic areas. This index is intended to facilitate the comparison of the economic quality development of ethnic areas with that of the Yangtze river delta region. The evaluation results indicate that the overall quality of economic development in ethnic areas has been enhanced, although the development trends vary.In comparison with developed regions, there is still scope for improvement. The internal factors that contribute to the observed differences in development levels are confirmed through empirical models. The external factors that may contribute to these differences are further discussed through the decomposition of the Gini index. In light of the aforementioned findings,it is imperative to propose corresponding policy recommendations.
