In recent decades,anthropologists of doing anthropology at home have seemingly increased,and to a certain degree,anthropology at home has almost become a field in anthropology.How do we define anthropology at home?This essay intends to investigate mainly two things with regard to anthropology at home:First,its origin and development.Second,based on multiple understandings,has the issue in question been practiced in Euro-America.For the reasons of emerging anthropology at home there are two suggestions.First,it was generated from the body of the general anthropology and second,it was a by-product of nationalism.The latter has been attested in northern,central,and eastern European countries that are considered to have been heavily influenced by the tradition of German thoughts.Anthropology at home cannot be just defined by where doing ethnography is taking place,but has to return to the question that focuses on"home"and its relevant images and symbols in relation to emotion attaching to it.Home must be like other terms used to define different fields or topics of anthropology,straightly showing what kinds of interests and themes of these fields.
