Objective To explore the application effect of interdisciplinary teaching and research models on the culti-vation of innovative capabilities in medical postgraduate students.Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted on 45 medical graduate students involved in interdisciplinary teaching research at School of Medicine,Zhejiang University.The questionnaire covered aspects such as the distribution of students'academic levels,their views on the importance of interdisciplinary integration,the role of interdisciplinary efforts in solving professional problems,and satisfaction with cur-rent interdisciplinary education and training.Results The survey revealed that 42.22% of the students considered inter-disciplinary integration extremely important in the cultivation of innovative capabilities,while 33.33% believed it had con-siderable significance.Moreover,44.44% of students felt that interdisciplinary integration was very helpful in enhancing professional skills and innovative thinking,and 48.89% strongly agreed that it contributed to broadening research hori-zons and strengthening team cooperation and communication abilities.Additionally,84.44% of students recognized the ne-cessity of educational system reforms to promote interdisciplinary teaching research.Conclusion The interdisciplinary teaching and research model has received positive evaluations from medical graduate students and has been shown to en-hance their professional abilities and innovative thinking.Nonetheless,some students still hold reservations regarding the sufficiency of interdisciplinary approaches and the need for reforming the current educational system.Therefore,future ed-ucational reforms should focus more on providing practical opportunities and improving the quality of interdisciplinary teaching content to meet the demands of medical graduate students for high-quality education and to support their comprehensive development in the fu-ture medical field.
