Objective To explore the effect of online and offline hybrid course politics teaching mode in the Introduc-tion to General Medicine course.Methods Sixty clinical medical students from Nanjing Medical University were select-ed as the research subjects,and divided into the experimental group and the control group according to the principle of random sampling,with 30 students in each.The experimental group adopted the online and offline hybrid course politics teaching mode and the control group adopted the traditional teaching mode.At the end of the semester,the final exam scores,attendance rate,and satisfaction with the content of the course's political thought were compared between the two groups of students.Results The final exam score of experimental group was higher than that of the control group,with statistical significance(t=-3.71,P<0.05),and the attendance rate was significantly higher than that of the control group,with statistical significance(χ2=4.69,P<0.05).The satisfaction with course in the experimental group was higher than the control group in terms of humanistic care,lecture format,and learning initiative,and the differences were all sta-tistically significant(t=-3.35,-7.19,-2.84,P<0.05).The satisfaction of medical ethics,social responsibility,and profes-sional identity between two group were not statistically different(t=-0.44,0.50,-1.75,P>0.05).Conclusion The use of the online and offline hubrid course politics teaching mode in the course of Introduction to Gener-al Medicine can help to increase the active learning and improve the quality of teaching,which shows the superiority and feasibility of this teaching mode in the field of general medicine education.
