Objective To explore the application effect of SPARK case database in the teaching of nuclear medicine for undergraduates.Methods Undergraduate students majoring in imaging technology of Zhejiang Chinese Medical Uni-versity were selected as the research objects,and 27 students from the first semester of 2023-2024 academic year were selected as the experimental group and adopted teaching model based on SPARK case database.Twenty-nine students in the first semester of the 2022-2023 academic year were the control group and adopted conventional teaching methods.The teaching effect of the two groups was compared.Results The final theoretical scores of the experimental group were higher than that of the control group,but the difference was not statistically significant(t=0.87,P>0.05).The test scores of clinical practice ability of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(Z=-3.15,P<0.05).The results of the questionnaire survey show that the teaching mode based on SPARK case database has been widely recognized by students in the experimental group,which can in-crease students'enthusiasm for learning(22 cases,81.48%),enhance their confidence in clinical practice(24 cases,88.89%),and improve their ability of understanding(23 cases,85.19%),clinical practice(24 cases,85.89%),coopera-tion and communication(23 cases,85.19%).Conclusion The teaching mode based on SPARK case database can be well applied to undergraduate teaching,and has achieved good teaching effect,which can significant-ly improve the students'ability of clinical practice.
