Objective To explore the current situation of medical-engineering interdisciplinary education from aware-ness,curriculum needs between teachers and students in Zhejiang University.Methods Teachers and students were se-lected randomly to conduct a comprehensive analysis from multiple dimensions such as the degree of understanding,atti-tude and interest towards the interdisciplinary education model of medical and engineering.Results Totally 41 people(75.92%)of the interviewed students and 25 people(83.34%)of the interviewed teachers were still in contact with the awareness of medical-industrial crossover.The interest and enthusiasm of the interviewed students in medical-industrial crossover was 85.19%higher than that of the interviewed teachers(56.67%),and the difference was statistically signifi-cant(χ2=8.67,P<0.05).23 people(51.11%)of the interviewed students and 9 people(34.62%)of the faculty felt there was a need for courses or lectures related to the intersection of medicine and industry.Conclusion As an emerg-ing discipline,more attention needs to be paid for publicity and popularization of medical-engineering interdisciplinary at the present stage.Especially among the teachers,it is necessary to strengthen the training and learning of medical in-terdisciplinary to meet the urgent need for the curriculum.
