Research on Vibration Fault of Low Pressure Cylinder Bearings for Steam Turbine Generator Units
The structural form of welding the low-pressure rotor bearing seat and low-pressure outer cylinder as a whole is widely used in large steam turbine generator units, which is causing some common vibration problems in the low-pressure cylinder rotor bearing system. The vibration fault characteristics of this type were diagnosed by combining the structural characteristics of the low-pressure cylinder bearing system and operating parameters. It has been clarified that the cause of vibration is due to unbalanced rotor mass, low overall stiffness of low-pressure cylinder, weak dynamic stiffness of low-pressure cylinder bearing seat support. On site measures such as fine dynamic balancing and reinforcement of low-pressure cylinder body can be taken to eliminate the vibration fault of the low-pressure cylinder of this type of unit. These measures have been successfully applied in engineering practice, which provide guidance for the analysis and treatment of similar vibration problems.
