Aiming at the problem of high pressure loss in the medium-pressure combined steam valve of a certain type of steam turbine,a calculation method based on the porous media flow model is proposed, and the porous media model is used to simulate the strainer in the valve, and steady-state computational fluid dynamics simulations are carried out for the gas valves with different optimization schemes, and the effects of the optimization schemes on the medium-pressure pressure loss of the gas valves are compared and analyzed. The study shows that compared with the scheme of changing the distance be-tween the distal end of the control valve and the central axis of the valve stem, the curvature optimisation at the rounded corner of the control valve can effectively reduce the pressure loss of the valve, and the geometrical modification is small, which has a more ideal effect.
