According to the optimization design of a new type of non-contact spiral shaft seal proposed in a literature,the relevant parameters of the sealing teeth are determined,and the spiral teeth are combined with the comb tooth shaft seal to form a new type of combined shaft seal.According to the actual working environment of the low pressure cylinder of 600MW unit,the finite element software is used to simulate and analyze the internal flow condition of the new combined shaft seal and comb shaft seal under the same working condition.The analysis results show that under the same working conditions,the steam leakage of the new combined shaft seal is about 16.05%less than that of the comb shaft seal,and the air leakage is about 24.11%less than that of the comb shaft seal.Compared with the same length of the comb section,the pressure drop of the steam side and the air side of the modified thread section is 25.42%and 41.26%higher than that of the original comb section,respectively.The feasibility of the new spiral seal design is verified,which provides a reference for the transformation of the shaft end seal of the steam turbine.
