Study on Energy-saving Techniques for Ultra-supercritical 1000 MW Steam Turbine at Medium and Low Loads
To address the issue of high energy consumption under low and medium load conditions,a power plant implemented generalized variable frequency(GVF)technology modifications.Energy-saving effectiveness tests and studies were conducted on three typical operating conditions after the modifications:THA,75%THA,and 50%THA.The results indicated that under high load conditions, the energy-saving effects of GVF technology were not significant. However, under low and medium load conditions, the energy-saving effectiveness of GVF increased as the load decreased. This study demonstrates that GVF modifications can effectively reduce energy consumption under low and medium load conditions.Additionally, the research paves the way for the application of AGC frequency regulation technology in further energy-saving improvements.
