The main bridge of Hanjiang River Bridge carrying a section of Xi'an-Shiyan High-speed Railway is a two-pylon,cable-stayed bridge of a semi-floating system and with a main span of 420 m.The superstructure consists of PC box girders stiffened with steel trusses, and the full deck width is 17 m.The four-cell PC box girders are made of C55 concrete, stiffened with variable triangular trusses of Q370qE steel, measuring 9.4 m in depth. The stay cables arranged in double fan planes are composed of parallel steel wires with a nominal tensile strength of 1 770 MPa.The pylons are vase-shaped reinforced concrete structures rising 186.5 m,supported by bored piles of 3 m diameter, but different lengths. The analysis shows that the indexes of the mechanical property of the bridge meet the code requirements, with sound overall stiffness and flutter stability. The wind fairings can effectively suppress the vortex-induced vibrations on the bridge. The upper chords of the steel trusses were injected with concrete, and the track placement time was delayed to effectively control the shrinkage and creep of the concrete girders. The deck alignment met the ballastless track placement requirements.
