EFFICACY OF NITROGLYCERIN COMBINED WITH PHENTOLAMINE IN THE TREATMENT OF ACUTE LEFT HEART FAILURE
Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of nitroglycerin combined with phentolamine in the treatment of acute left heart failure. Methods A total of 110 acute left heart failure patients treated in the Department of Cardiology and ICU in our hospital from January 2014 to June 2016 were randomly divided into study group (n =54) and control group (n-56).Patients in the control group were given conventional treatments such as oxygen inhalation and sedation in a semi recumbent position,as well as intravenous furosemide (40 mg) and cedilanid (0.4 mg).In addition to the conventional treatment, patients in the study group were also given nitroglycerin (10 mag) and phentolamine (30 mg) in normal saline (50 mL) by a micro infusion pump. Results The clinical remission rates of patients in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group at 15,30,60,90,and 120 min after treatment (H=5.00,P<0.05).The treatment effect of the patients in the study group were also significantly higher than those in the control group (H=4.97,P<0.05).Conclusion The additional use of cardiotonics and diuretics in nitroglycerin-and phentolamine-based therapy cannot only improve the clinical outcome of acute left heart failure patients, but they also rapidly and effectively relieve the clinical symptoms of the disease.
