CLINICAL EFFECT OF POSTPARTUM PELVIC FLOOR MUSCLE TRAINING ON PELVIC FLOOR REHABILITATION IN PARTURIENTS
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of postpartum pelvic floor muscle training on pelvic floor rehabilitation in parturients. Methods A total of 110 parturients who underwent transvaginal delivery in our department from August 2016 to March 2017 were enrolled and randomly divided into control group and observation group using a random number table. The parturients in the control group were given conventional symptomatic treatment and nursing after delivery, and those in the observation group were given pelvic floor muscle training guided by the professional medical staff in addition to the conventional symptomatic treatment and nursing for the control group. After 4 weeks of training, the two groups were compared in terms of pelvie floor muscle tension, vaginal muscle tension, vaginal muscle voltage, and urinary retention. Results The observation group had a significantly higher proportion of parturients who reached the treatment target of pelvic floor muscle tension than the control group (85.46 % vs 29.09 %;x2 =11.63,P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the observation group had significantly higher vaginal muscle tension and vaginal muscle voltage (t =10.06,12.38;P<0.05) and a significantly lower number of times of nocturia (t=13.24,P<0.05) after treatment. Conclusion Targeted pelvic floor muscle training can effectively promote the recovery of pelvic floor muscle tension, vaginal muscle tension, and vaginal muscle voltage and reduce urinary retention. Therefore,it holds promise for clinical application.
