EXPRESSION OF CYCLIN D1 IN NASAL POLYPS AND ITS CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE
Objective To investigate the expression of cyclin D1 in nasal polyps and its role in the development and progression of nasal polyps. Methods Immunohistochemistry (S-P) was used to measure the expression of cyclin D1 in nasal polyps from 38 incipient patients and inferior turbinate mucosa from 24 patients (control group). Results The positive rate of cyclin D1 was 76.3% (29/38) in the nasal polyps group and 33.3% (8/24) in the control group, and there were significant differences between these two groups in the positive rate of cyclin D1 and its expression intensity (x2 =11.293,Z=2.689,P<0.05).Conclusion High expression of cyclin D1 may play an important role in the development and progression of nasal polyps.
