CLINICAL EFFECT OF ANATOMICAL PLATE COMBINED WITH TENSION BAND IN TREATMENT OF SURGICAL NECK FRACTURE OF THE HUMERUS
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of anatomic plate combined with tension band in the treatment of comminuted surgical neck fracture of the humerus. Methods A total of 26 patients with comminuted surgical neck fracture of the humerus (Neer Ⅲ-Ⅳ) who were treated with anatomic plate combined with tension band in our hospital from August 2010 to November 2016 were enrolled, and their clinical outcomes were analyzed. Results All patients were followed up for 10-24 months.Imaging examination performed at half a year after surgery showed no screw loosening, cutting, plate fracture,or malunion at the fracture site.According to the Neer scoring system,19 patients had excellent scores,4 had good scores,2 had fair scores, and no patient had poor scores, which resulted in an excellent and good rate of 88.46%.Conclusion In the treatment of comminuted surgical neck fracture of the humerus, anatomic plate combined with tension band helps to achieve good facture fixation, and patients can take functional exercise in the early stage and have good functional recovery of shoulder joint.
