EXPRESSION OF SOLUBLE CLUSTER OF DIFFERENTIATION 40 LIGAND IN SERUM IN PATIENTS WITH ACUTE CEREBRAL INFARCTION AND ITS CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE
Objective To investigate the expression of soluble cluster of differentiation 40 ligand (sCD40L) in serum in patients with acute cerebral infarction (ACI) and its clinical significance. Methods A total of 66 patients who were diagnosed with ACI in the internal carotid artery for the first time in our hospital from September 2010 to August 2011 were enrolled and divided into moderate-type group and mild-type group according to the SSS-TOAST typing system.Another 33 healthy middle-aged and elderly subjects were enrolled as controls.ELISA was used to measure the serum level of sCD40L.Results There was a significant difference in the serum level of sCD40L between the three groups (F=98.04,q =5.79-19.30,P<0.05).Conclusion The serum level of sCD40L is associated with the severity of infarction in ACI patients and can be used as a biological marker of disease condition.
