EXPRESSION OF SURVIVIN AND P53 IN DIFFERENT TYPES OF GASTRIC MUCOSAL LESIONS AND RELATED CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE
Objective To investigate the expression of Survivin and P53 protein in different types of gastric mucosal lesions and related clinical significance. Methods Immunohistochemistry was used to measure the expression of Survivin and P53 protein in the tissue samples of chronic superficial gastritis, chronic atrophic gastritis,low-grade intraepithelial neoplasia,high-grade intraepithelial neoplasia, and gastric carcinoma. Results The positive rates of Survivin protein in the tissue samples of chronic superficial gastritis, chronic atrophic gastritis,low-grade intraepithelial neoplasia,high-grade intraepithelial neoplasia, and gastric carcinoma were 0,16.7 %,36.7 %,46.7 %,and 74.3 %,respectively;there was a significant difference in the positive rate of Survivin protein between any two types of these lesions except between low-and high-grade intraepithelial neoplasia (x2 =2.06-6.10,P<0.05).The positive rates of P53 protein in the tissue samples of chronic superficial gastritis, chronic atrophic gastritis,low-grade intraepithelial neoplasia,high-grade intraepithelial neoplasia, and gastric carcinoma were 0,10.0 %,36.7 %,46.7 %,and 57.1 %,respectively;there was a significant difference in the positive rate of P53 protein between any two types of these lesions ex cept between low-and high-grade intraepithelial neoplasia (x2 =2.00-5.32,P <0.05).Conclusion The expression of Survivin and P53 protein is associated with the development of gastric carcinoma, and the measurement of Survivin and P53 protein has an important value in the early diagnosis of gastric carcinoma.
