Advances in metabolic reprogramming associated with aerobic glycolysis in pancreatic cancer
Objective To describe the research progress of aerobic glycolysis-related metabolic remodeling in pancreatic cancer and the special diet-based anti-tumor approach. Methods With"glycolysis,Warburg Effect, pancreatic cancer,met-abolic reprogramming"as the key words, the relevant literature of PubMed and China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)from January 2000 to January 2024.Inclusion criteria:(1)The definition and role of aerobic glycolysis;(2)The expression of glycolysis-related enzymes and the change of enzyme activity in pancreatic cancer;(3)Dietary strategies tar-geting aerobic glycolysis-related mediators for pancreatic cancer.Exclusion criteria:(1)Low-quality literature;(2)Data obsolescence literature;(3)Minutes.Finally,2 Chinese and 44 English literature were included. Results Pancreatic cancer alters metabolism towards aerobic glycolysis by upregulating glycolysis-related enzymes, disrupting the balance be-tween glycolysis and oxidative phosphorylation, inducing genetic mutations, and affecting the tumor microenvironment.Additionally, this text briefly describes two specific therapeutic approaches for treating pancreatic cancer. The study of key metabolic mediators, such as adenine nucleoside triphosphate(ATP)and ketone bodies, during aerobic glycolysis has led to the discovery of new anti-tumor approaches, opening up new pathways for the treatment of pancreatic cancer.Con-clusions The metabolic reprogramming processes associated with aerobic glycolysis in pancreatic cancer are complex.Di-et-based antitumor therapy has been less studied and needs to be further explored.
