Recent advancements in single-cell transcriptomic analysis of CD4+T cells in the tumor microenvironment
Objective To examine recent advancements in single-cell transcriptomic analysis of CD4+T cells and and pro-vide insights for precision therapy of tumors by high-precision resolution of the heterogeneity characteristics of CD4+T cells. Methods A thorough search of relevant literature published from February 2014 to June 2023 in PubMed was con-ducted using keywords such as"single cell transcriptomics,CD4 T cells, cancer".Inclusion criteria encompassed studies involving single-cell transcriptomic sequencing analysis of CD4+T cells within tumor tissues;Exclusion criteria included reviews,meta-analyses,and case reports.Finally,50 articles were included, including 34 articles with self-measured sin-gle-cell data,6 articles with data mining, and 10 background reference articles supporting the theories. Results CD4+T cells demonstrate substantial cellular heterogeneity, consisting of multiple functionally distinct subpopulations that display notable complexity and dynamic changes within the tumor microenvironment. These subpopulations are closely linked with the effectiveness of immunotherapy. Conclusions The use of single-cell transcriptomics has provided profound in-sights into the population heterogeneity of CD4+T cells, uncovering the dynamic characteristics of their subpopulations within the tumor microenvironment. These findings provide novel perspectives for precision cancer therapy.
