Abstract
General secretary Xi Jinping's important discourse on digital trade is an integral part of Xi Jinping's thought on economy.With the rapid development of new rounds of the technological and in-dustrial revolution,digital trade has become an essential part of promoting the development of interna-tional trade.General secretary Xi Jinping has systematically expounded the scientific connotation of promoting high-quality development of digital trade from the aspects of strategic choices,value con-cepts,basic themes,and important guarantees.It has theoretical characteristics such as the unity of de-veloping science and technology and benefiting the people,the unity of independent innovation and open absorption,the unity of developing virtual and empowering entities,and the unity of equal consul-tation and common development.To implement the important discourse on digital trade,it is necessary to establish a sound digital trade governance system,improve the mechanism for cultivating digital trade talents,promote the transformation process of digital technology achievements,actively connect with international digital economic and trade rules,and continuously deepen international cooperation in digital trade,in order to accelerate the construction of a strong trading nation.
