摘要

胡居仁为捍卫理学的正统和权威,主动阐述了一套理学之"心学"来攻斥陈白沙之心学为异端.他认为,异端之心学用"心无存主"的静坐方法只会落得"空寂"之病、作弄精神,而理学之"心学"用"心有存主"的主敬工夫则可以通达万变、宰制万物.究其立论根源乃在于心具众理、心与理本一,所以心存则理明、制心则理亡.然而胡居仁这一套"心学"理论自身存在着难以解释的"两心"困境,另外,他只是把陈白沙心学打为禅学,并集中对禅学进行"深辩详辟",并没有认识到陈白沙心学具有的独特性,自然就无法对之进行有力的批判.这些不足,是其贬辟异端、捍卫理学未见效力的自身原因.

Abstract

Hu Juren,in order to defend the orthodoxy and authority of Neo-confucionism,took the in-itiative to expound a set of Neo-confucionism's"mind thought"to refute Chen Baisha's mind thought as heretical.He believed that the heretical mind thought using the sitting method of"mind without a master"would only lead to the illness of"emptiness"and manipulation by the spirit,while the"mind"of Neo-confucionism using the Neo-confucionism of"mind with a master"can comprehend all changes and dominate all things.The root of its argument lies in the fact that the mind has multiple principles,and the mind and principles are one.Therefore,when the mind is present,the principles are clear;when the mind is restrained,the principles are lost.However,Hu Juren's argumentation of"mind thought"itself has an inexplicable dilemma of"two minds".In addition,he only classified Chen Baisha's mind learning as Zen learning and focused on"deep debate and detailed exploration"of Zen learning,without recognizing the uniqueness of Chen Baisha's mind thought,so he naturally cannot make a strong criticism of it.These shortcomings are the inherent reasons why he failed to effectively suppress heretics and defend principle.
