Currently, some county students flow to urban areas to continue their studies, this phenomenon has attracted attention. However, these county students may not have excellent academic performance in high-quality urban high schools.Using qualitative study, this article has the following findings:the quality education implemented in high-quality urban high schools could be divided into two types, named college-going orientation type and free development type;the college-going orientation type would directly eliminate the county students lacking prior accumulation, while the county students are thus excluded from diverse admissions of university enrollment;the free development type would increase the county students'risk of failing in examination, and hence raise the possibility of being eliminated in college entrance examination. For county students who have entered high-quality urban high schools, the two types of quality education would jointly make it difficult for them to enter high-quality universities, and access to high-quality educational opportunities are mostly open to urban students.Focusing on this schooling process could deepen the understanding of county's educational condition and quality education reform.
