The Formation Mechanism of Adolescents'Cyber Violence
As the typical phenomenon of deviance in modern society, the generation pattern regarding adolescents'cyber violence deserves academic attentions.Based on the binary perspective of"behavior-victimization"and through the quantitative analysis of large-scale survey data towards college students, this article tries to construct the integrated model regarding the formation mechanism of adolescents'cyber violence. The results show that cyber violence behavior and victimization would follow the chain induced mechanism of"society-individual-interaction";the social bonds would exert inhibitory effect on low self-control;the social bonds and low self-control would impact cyber violence, while online social learning would act as mediating effect in this pathway. The phenomenon of cyber violence has the mechanism of"endogenous evolution",which indicates that cyber violence behavior has significant positive impacts on victimization. The deviant peer association and deviant online habits have the effect of dual"risk superposition",which could simultaneously accelerate the efficiency of endogenous evolution towards cyber violence.Based on these findings, this study suggests that it is necessary to construct the prevention system of"control-support"on behavior level, and the integrated prevention system of"family-campus-network"on victimization level, hence we could address both the symptoms and root causes of adolescents'cyber violence.
