Perception of Status Change and the Youth's Entrepreneurial Participation
Based on the relevant data from"Chinese General Social Survey",this article tries to analyze the changing trajectory regarding contemporary Chinese youth's entrepreneurial participation,and systematically analyze the youth's micro-psychological mechanism and macro-environmental mechanism in entrepreneurial decision-making from dual perspectives,namely perception of status change and financial environment.According to the findings,from 2010 to 2021,the proportion of youth participating in entrepreneurship would present the trend of decreasing firstly and then increasing;by reinforcing risk preference and enhancing subjective well-being,the positive perception of status change could motivate youth to participate in entrepreneurial activities;the development level of traditional financial market and digital finance could reinforce the motivational effect of perception of status change on youth's entrepreneurial participation,but the digital finance would play greater role in this regard.This study indicates that improving perception of status change and optimizing financial environment are effective pathways which could motivate youth to participate in entrepreneurial activities,and has implications for decision-making departments to motivate youth to participate in entrepreneurial activities through optimizing policy design.
