The Impacts of Social Media Platforms on Youth Values
This article aims to examine the joint impacts of social media platforms and user characteristics on youth values.Based on the belief network analysis of relevant data from"Social Mentality Survey of Chinese College Students(2020)",this article reveals the similarities and differences in values structure between users of B social media platform and users of X social media platform.According to the findings,the degree of differentiation of values among users of B platform is higher than that of X platform;for the same social media platform,the degree of differentiation of values among users in first-class universities is higher than that in ordinary colleges and universities;the joint effects of platforms and university level are more significant in B platform with higher publicity.
