Analysis of Blind Massage Career Choices of Visually Impaired Adolescents
Based on the theoretical perspective of media massage,this article uses field observation and thematic interviews to explore why visually impaired adolescents choose blind massage.According to the findings,at different stages of their career,the media has"massaged"the visually impaired adolescents in different ways.In particular,media such as oral communication,Braille,and screen readors have transformed the way they access the external world,bringing about media empowerment in terms of career choices.Meanwhile,it can also bring about some which have consequences of technological disciplinary suchas authority worship and linear thinking,strengthen their understandings of visual impairment and its obstacles.Hence,they can reach self consistency in the conflict between ideal and reality,and accept the career setting of blind massage.
