The Impacts of Early Left-Behind Experience on Young Women's Parenting Quality
Based on the data of"Wuhan Birth Cohort Study(WBCS)",this article investigates the impact of early-life left-behind experiences on the parenting quality of young women.The experience of being left behind in the early years not only reduced the parenting efficacy of young women,but also hindered the development of their children,and the more recent the birth cohort and the young women who had girls are more negatively affected.Changes in mental health caused by early-life left-behind experiences are an important mechanism affecting parenting quality.The negative impact of early left-behind experiences on young women's parenting quality can be ameliorated when women achieve educational advancement or have upwardly matched marriages.
