The introduction of Rural CEOs is an effective solution to address the shortage of rural management talents.However,Rural CEOs often encounter various dimensions of integration problems when entering rural communities.This qualitative case study delves into the process of an externally recruited Rural CEO's integration into a ethnic village.It is found that Rural CEOs mainly face challenges in four dimensions:institutional integration,resource integration,economic integration and cultural integration.In order to get out of the dilemma,they adopt the strategies of transforming external advantages,pooling common knowledge,constructing common interests and cultivating social networks,and then obtain multiple approvals from the government,the village community and himself.This provides a revelation for effectively playing the role of Rural CEOs.
