As a new model of philanthropy,Internet philanthropy has witnessed rapid growth in recent years,and young people are the main participants in this new type of philanthropy.By analyzing two sets of representative survey data,the article comparatively examines youth's donation behaviours and their influencing mechanisms in differentiated Internet platforms.The empirical research discover that young people with higher socioeconomic status are less likely to donate to medical crowdfunding projects in acquaintance networks,but show a stronger intention to donate while being in anonymous networks.The size of offline interpersonal networks significantly increased the probability of Internet donations among youth,both in acquaintance and anonymous networks.
