This paper discusses the influences of institutional social capital for college students'internship search.It is found that the formal and informal forms of institutional social capital have impact on the internship acquisition of college students,and the two forms of institutional social capital work through different mechanisms.The former includes internship information push mechanism and targeted recruitment mechanism,while the latter includes information circle mechanism,institutional identity selection mechanism and shared knowledge system mechanism.College students applying institutional social capital to find internship is a comprehensive practical process combining their own subjective initiative,private social capital and other resources,and the mechanism of social stratification may also come into being as a result.
