永恒悖论:数字新闻的创新困境与ChatGPT的技术解决主义陷阱

2023年以来,ChatGPT得到了中国新闻传播学者的广泛关注,但新闻业的专业工作及其对公共生活的承诺需要在多大程度上依赖于该技术应用才能兑现的问题始终未有解答.借鉴制度主义视角下的新闻业与数字新闻创新理论资源,结合对中国知网论文学术话语中ChatGPT与新闻业关系论述的系统综述,本研究发现,作为新技术的生成式人工智能与数字新闻业在根本目标上存在不一致的情况,而学术话语依然呼吁新闻业主要通过吸纳技术来解决社会问题.基于这种技术解决主义应许的经济增长神话与新闻业基本目标的背离,本研究进一步揭示了技术中心论视角下的新闻创新焦虑催生ChatGPT讨论热潮的内在结构性动因,对新闻业诉诸包括大数据、虚拟现实和元宇宙等在内的一系列技术行动元,以期自动解决行动者困境的逻辑悖论,为其可能带来的潜在危险提出了预警和未来建议.
An Eternal Paradox:The Innovation Dilemma of Digital Journalism and the Techno-Solutionism Trap of ChatGPT
Since 2023,ChatGPT has received extensive attention from Chinese journalism and communication scholars,but the question of how much the professional work of journalism and its commitment to public life depend on the application of the technology remains unanswered.Based on the theoretical resources of digital journalism innovation from the perspective of institutionalism,combined with the systematic review of the impact of ChatGPT on journalism in the academic discourse of CNKI essays,this paper finds that generative artificial intelligence,as a new technology,is inconsistent with the fundamental goals of digital journalism.However,the academic discourse still calls for journalism to address social problems primarily by embracing technology.Based on the divergence between the myth of economic growth promised by techno-solutionism and the basic goal of journalism,this paper further reveals the internal structural motivation of journalism innovation anxiety from the perspective of techno-centrism to promote ChatGPT discussion,and puts forward early warning and future suggestions for journalism to resort to a series of actants,including big data,virtual reality,and meta-universe,etc.,in order to automatically solve the logical paradox of the actor's dilemma and the potential dangers it may bring.
