Rhetorical Dilemmas and Social Consequences of Trust Relationships in Social Media
Social trust is an important issue after the emergence of social media. In the media environment with increasing credibility problems and interpersonal deception, distrust has become a psychological tone of social media, the break of trust chain and the suspension of trust inertia have appeared in some social fields. From subject, action to consequence,it is found that social stratification based on occupation, status, gender, region and age, people use their own rhetorical ways to express distrust in social media, rebuild or consolidate the interpretative community in such resistant discourse, and form the community's internal trust and external distrust. All expressions of distrust flow from the offline to the online, and finally return to the offline, thus forming a series of social consequences, which strengthen populism, tear down social stratification and increase the cost of social communication.
