Academic Affiliation Structure and the Employment Choice of Journalists—An Empirical Analysis of the Winners of the Changjiang Taofen Award
From the perspective of academic affiliation structure,this paper makes an empirical analysis of the educational information and employment choices of the winners of the 10th Changjiang Taofen Award from 2007 to 2020.It focuses on the characteristics of the number,level,type,major and journalism professional rating of the universities from which the winners come,and uses Chi-square test to analyze the relationship between the academic affiliation structure and the employment choice of journalists.The study finds that there is a significant positive correlation between university level,journalism professional rating and employment unit level,and the higher the two indicators,the more inclined to choose national media;There is a significant correlation between the professional category,journalism professional rating and the type of employment unit,and the professional competitive advantage of journalism professional education is different in different types of media.The empirical study clarifies the significant correlation between journalism professional education and the employment choice of journalists,highlights the close relationship between journalism education and talent cultivation,and the importance of innovating talent cultivation mode according to the law of journalism development and new liberal arts construction.
