Legends of the late Qing Dynasty have entered its last stage in which the creation and evaluation of legends showed an obvious tendency of literati,and the works based on confucians'life occupied a place in legend creation.This paper takes the legend of the late Qing Dynasty as the starting point,observes the real thoughts of the confucian scholars under the social changes,and re-stores the real life scenes of the late Qing societyfrom the aspects o revealing confucians'miserable life,exposing the dark corruption of the imperial examinations,exploring the practical significance of the confucians'saving the nation.
