Godzilla,directed by Roland Emmerich,was released in 1998.The disaster writing in the film presents a three-di-mensional picture of the Anthropocene from the three dimensions of theme,character image and symbolic meaning,and explores the al-ienation relationship among human beings,nature and science and technology.The film constructs the images of exploiters under instru-mental rationality,positive and negative aspects of scientific and technological alienation,and highlights the dilemma of scientific and technological development,as well as the ecological relationship between humans and other pieces.The film is both critigue of anthropo-centrism and a profound roflection on the technological abuse and ecological protection.
